2026 Conservation Scholarships for High School Seniors

Application Deadline: February 6th, 2026

Scott County Soil & Water Conservation District is participating in the Conservation Districts of Iowa (CDI) Conservation Scholarship again in 2026.

The top three scholarships will be awarded at the state level through CDI in the amounts of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000. Winners from the remaining six regions will each receive $500. In addition, Scott SWCD will be awarding two (2) $1,000 scholarships to two (2) qualified Scott County High School Seniors. These scholarships are presented to area high school seniors to be used for their first year of education on the college level while pursuing programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources.

Please submit the completed application to the Scott SWCD office at 8370 Hillandale Rd, Davenport, IA 52806.

December 10th 2025 Meeting

The next Scott County Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioner Meeting will be Wednesday, December 10th, 2025 at 3:00pm. It will be held in the USDA Service Center located at 8370 Hillandale Rd, Davenport, IA.

A copy of the agenda will be added to this post at least 24hrs prior to the meeting, if not sooner. The tentative agenda is as follows:

November 12th 2025 Meeting

The next Scott County Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioner Meeting will be Wednesday, November 12th, 2025 at 4:00pm. It is anticipated to be held in the USDA Service Center located at 8370 Hillandale Rd, Davenport IA, however, there is currently a lapse in federal government funding as of October 1st, 2025. If the federal government is still shut down by November 12th, the back-up location for the meeting is the Scott County Extension & Outreach Office at 875 Tanglefoot Ln, Bettendorf IA at 3:00pm. While the shutdown is in effect, the office phone number and usual emails will not be active. To reach the IDALS Conservation Assistant during shutdown, please email scottswcdiowa@gmail.com instead.
